Alternative Text

When you upload an image, you have probably noticed the “Alternative Text” field and wondered what you are supposed to put there.

Alternative Text has two functions:

1. It is the Tooltip when a user mouse over the image
2. It is for users with disabilities that use special programs to allow them to experience websites.

As a best practice, we recommend adding alternative text to every image uploaded. The alternative text should be the best description of the image that you can give in a few short words. Think of it as a title for your image, it will show up whenever your users mouse over it.
